Shonda Rhimes‘ talent knows no end, as she’s the mind behind classic TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal and more. In the film world, she wrote many hits including 2002’s Crossroads starring Britney Spears.

The Television Hall of Famer recalled meeting the pop star before filming to Jennifer Hudson on the Thursday (May 23) episode of the latter’s talk show. “It was crazy. I was a serious nerd, so I did not know, like, who she was in terms of what her music was,” Rhimes revealed. “I just knew she was a pop star, but I didn’t know anything about her music or anything

She continued, “So, our first meeting was when I went to her concert and I met her backstage. That was the first time I saw that kind of power. She would move her eyebrow and the audience would lose their minds. It was amazing to watch that kind of command at that age. It was spectacular.”

Britney Spears is still fuming over the 2021 Netflix documentary Britney vs Spears, which explored her family feuds and conservatorship battle.

Three years later, the Toxic singer has decided to take a stand by denying the streaming giant to any use of her music, image, or cooperation, reported In Touch Weekly.

An insider close to the situation claimed that Britney and her team see themselves as the "good guys" and believe the documentary was "shabby and exploitative."

“Britney and her team have taken the position that Netflix did something unforgivable to her by airing and continuing to make available their documentary piece on Britney and her situation,” they said.

The singer and her team fear that the documentary “might be one of the most watched pieces of Britney-related media of the last twenty years” due to Netflix’s huge subscriber base.

“That’s not really fair to Britney on a bunch of levels and she knows it,” they continued. “To her credit, she’s putting her money where her mouth is and just refusing to do business with Netflix on any level.”

The source shared that Neflix will have to do something “huge and profound” to win back the popstar’s confidence that “they’re a firm she should be in business with, even passively.”

Britney Spears had a fight with her boyfriend at Chateau Marmont this week, resulting in paramedics being called to the vaunted Hollywood establishment and the pop star leaving the hotel with her own security team, The Times has confirmed.

Spears, 42, appeared to address the incident Thursday, declaring on Instagram that “the news is fake” after a wide-reaching TMZ report about her and boyfriend, Paul Soliz, cited sources who feared that she had a “mental breakdown” at the hotel. The Grammy Award winner confirmed that she twisted her ankle and alleged that paramedics “showed up at my door illegally.”

“They never came in my room but I felt completly [sic] harassed. I’m moving to Boston !!! Peace,” wrote Spears, whose past erratic behavior resulted in her infamous 13-year conservatorship that was terminated in 2021.

Late Thursday, Spears posted a video showing her swollen ankle and saying that she injured it while she was trying to do a leap in the living room of her hotel suite. She said she “fell and embarrassed herself” and that the paramedics’ arrival “caused this huge scene, which was so unnecessary” when all she needed was ice.

“It is actually pretty bad, but s— happens,” the “Toxic” and “Hold Me Closer” singer said in the video.

Spears’ personal attorney Mathew S. Rosengart declined to comment Friday when reached by The Times. A Chateau Marmont spokesperson did not immediately respond to a message requesting comment.

It’s unclear who called authorities.

Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, confirmed Friday that the agency had received a 911 call to the Chateau Marmont at 12:42 a.m. Thursday but, citing medical privacy rules, could not identify the person the call was made for.

Humphrey confirmed that paramedics were dispatched to the hotel after a caller requested aid for an adult female who had been injured. He said the caller did not offer specifics about the injury.

In the caption of Spears’ Thursday video post, she alleged that her mother, Lynne Spears, was probably involved in the incident, which was documented in part by paparazzi. She also complimented Rosengart, who spearheaded the effort that released her from the conservatorship of her personal and financial affairs that was installed in 2008 after a spate of high-profile incidents.

“I know my mom was involved !!! I haven’t talked to her in 6 months and she called right after it happened before the news being out !!! I was set up just like she did way back when !!!” Spears alleged in the post. “I wish I had grandparents !!! I can’t stand her !!! I honestly don’t care I will say it 👍🏻🤷🏼‍♀️ !!!”

Then, posting a photo of Rosengart, Spears added: “Psss this man is wonderful !!! He’s like a father to me and he got me through last night !!! I adore you and admire you mister Mathew !!!”

Spears and Sam Asghari submitted an agreement for dividing up their assets to a judge for approval, according to documents filed in a Los Angeles court on Thursday (US time), nine months after they separated.

The filings gave few details but said neither Spears nor Asghari will get future spousal support. Asghari had said in his initial petition that he would seek financial support. Any future disputes would need to be settled in private arbitration.

A judge is likely to sign off on the stipulated solution soon and declare both of them single.

Emails seeking details or comment from lawyers for both Spears and Asghari were not immediately returned.

The two had no children together, so no custody agreement was necessary. Spears wrote in her memoir published in 2023 that she and Asghari had a miscarriage early in a pregnancy about a month before they married.
